House for week end

I like to walk on the Lake Vioreau to 20 km of Chateaubriant (see the map).
Many families made houses for the week end on part of the lake.
They come for peace for user-friendliness for fishing and for boat.

People have what we call "vacation" cottages here. They are at small and large lakes and along rivers and in other states, especially Michigan and Minnesota where there are many lakes. I like your photograph and the story behind it.

Beautiful photo of a delightful little cottage. So simple and yet so charming...

Thanks for the comment on my blog. I too think that my first photo has a strange quality that makes it very attractive. I am just now starting to take night photos, that was one of the first ones. I should get a tripod soon :).

Is there enough room for an American visitor? ;-)

Australians also love holiday Shacks as we call them. They are found at the seaside, rivers and in fact, everywhere.
We also have shack owners associations.
It's wonderful to escape from the city at weekends and holidays to commune with nature, face to face.

It would be nice to have one of those.

A weekend retreat, away from the everyday routine, made all the better by a small house that requires little care.
